Kepo’s Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) is a customizable sound system specifically designed for electric, hybrid, and fuel cell vehicles. It provides tailored acoustic solutions for various vehicle types, including passenger cars, commercial trucks, and public buses.
The AVAS system receives data about the vehicle’s speed and gear from the vehicle’s computer system via a CAN bus connection. This information is then processed by the system’s main control unit, which selects and adjusts pre-recorded sounds from its internal memory to create a realistic engine-like noise.
