KEPO Multi-Vibrator Massage Seat Solution | Creating an Immersive Smart Cabin Haptic Experience

KEPO 4D Exciter

As the intelligent cockpit emerges as the core of differentiated competition in the automotive industry, users’ demands for in-car comfort experience are continuously escalating. Traditional single-point seat vibration feedback has been unable to meet the needs for refined control, emotional linkage, and intelligent scenarios. Based on years of accumulation in haptic feedback technology, KEPO has launched a multi-actuator massage seat solution, specifically providing technical support for OEMs and Tier 1 customers in terms of functional expansion, structural compatibility, and experience innovation on the seat platform.

Overview of the solution

The KEPO multi-vibrator massage seat system utilizes 4 to 12 high-performance vibration actuators, achieving a transformation from “mechanical vibration” to “intelligent perception” through multi-zone layout, intelligent algorithm control, and platform integration. This solution supports user-defined massage modes, scene linkage, and OTA remote upgrades, meeting the differentiated product requirements of different vehicle models.

Core advantages

1. Flexibly configurable vibration module design

Each seat supports a combination of 4 to 12 vibrators, distributed in areas such as the back, waist, and cushion;

With a thickness of less than 7mm, the module is easy to embed into seat foam or backrest structure;

Supports wire control, PWM, and CAN bus control methods, adapting to different seat platforms;

2. Intelligent control system

Built-in multiple massage algorithms: wave, rolling, rhythmic, etc;

Support linkage control between custom programs and driving modes (such as comfort/sport/quiet modes);

It can achieve multimodal integration and linkage with DMS systems, audio systems, etc., providing a composite experience such as fatigue reminders and music-synchronized vibrations;

3. Platform universality and structural integration optimization

Standardized module interfaces facilitate unified integration by Tier 1;

The structural components and vibrators can be designed integratively to reduce the number of parts and assembly complexity;

Support the development of platform-based vehicle models for shared use, and shorten the verification cycle;

Example application scenarios

  • Intelligent electric vehicle seats are considered as high-end comfort configurations;
  • Integrate with DMS to enable vibration alerts for fatigue driving conditions;
  • Paired with car audio, it achieves an immersive experience with enhanced low-frequency pulsation;
  • Switching driving modes triggers different vibration rhythms, enhancing mode perception;

KEPO technology and delivery capability

  • Over 10 years of experience in haptic feedback module development;
  • It supports the entire process, including functional verification, NVH testing, structural CAE analysis, and other related tasks;
  • We have served multiple domestic and international OEMs and seat system suppliers;
